On Thursday, three-time Grammy winner Gwen Stefani announced the premiere of the music video for her Slow Clap remix featuring hip-hop diva Saweetie.
In it, the 51-year-old pop star appropriated a high school pep rally in the ‘hood vibe, which launched her as a solo artist thanks to collaborations with Eve, Dr. Dre, and Pharrell.
In fact, the entire Slow Clap video harkened back to Gwen’s Hollaback Girl video from 2005, so it’s clear she was trying to recapture the same teen spirit.

The 27-year-old NoCal native even referenced it in her rap lyrics: ‘I ain’t no Hollaback b**** / Now I got it I ain’t got to act rich / They be yelling cause I’m so attractive.’
Saweetie (born Diamanté Quiava Valentin Harper) twerked up a storm and flashed considerable underboob cleavage, which was certainly a first for a Gwen Stefani video.
At one point, the Best Friend hitmaker and the Orange County Girl donned chiffon gowns to jump on a trampoline together in the gymnasium.
Gwen rocked her signature red pout, faux-ny ponytail extension, excess of gold jewelry, and talon-like nails as she played patty-cake with a pink-wigged Saweetie.
