News of the third season was revealed last year, when Netflix tweeted a photo of Penn, 34, emerging from the shadows wearing a black ‘Hello You’ face mask.
‘We recommend you stay at least 6 feet from Joe Goldberg at all times,’ Netflix tweeted, referencing the name of Badgley’s murderous character.
‘YOU Season 3 is back in production.’
Penn has been playing the unhinged Joe Goldberg since 2018, when the series officially premiered on Lifetime before moving over to Netflix.

Penn hilariously accidentally revealed the show would be returning for a third season last year during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
The actor started talking about the role of an unmasked female serial killer in the upcoming ‘third season’, before adding, ‘Oh, God’.
‘She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person. She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator.
