Morena Baccarin announced she is expecting her second child with husband Ben McKenzie in a new interview, which aired on Friday’s episode of The Talk

The 41-year-old Deadpool actress, who also shares a seven-year-old son with her ex Austin Chick, cheekily confirmed her baby news by raving about a ‘successful’ date night that led to her pregnancy.

The conversation started with Baccarin revealing that her four-year-old daughter Frances loves helping her parents get ready for their romantic nights out.

‘What we now call date night is really honestly being able to take a walk outside together, but it heightens anxiety in the kids because we’re around all the time, so when we take a little time to ourselves, they’re like, ‘Where are you going?’ she said. 

Baccarin continued: ‘Ben very cleverly found a way to get them involved and asked Frances to get him ready for the day.’

She previously documented one of McKenzie getting styled by his tot, who dressed him in headbands, bracelets and blue nail polish, on Instagram two months ago.

Baccarin and McKenzie met in 2014 on the first season of their hit series Gotham, which wrapped last year after five seasons.

They exchanged vows at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens in New York City in 2017, a year after welcoming their little girl.  

At the time, the duo’s Gotham characters, James Gordon and Dr. Leslie Thompkins, were also expecting a baby together on-screen with Morena explaining that it was ‘a total coincidence’.
