Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie shares a tribute to his ex-wife Emma Watkins on her 32nd birthday

The Wiggles’ Lachlan Gillespie has shared a tribute to his ex-wife Emma Watkins as she celebrated her 32nd birthday on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old posted a photo of Emma dressed up as a princess fairy to Instagram, and penned a sweet message.

‘Happy Birthday @emma_wiggle,’ he wrote, adding three yellow hearts.

Emma and Lachlan are still close friends after announcing their shock split in 2018 after two years of marriage.

Both Lachlan and Emma have moved on with new partners since their breakup three years ago.

Emma announced her engagement to fellow Wiggles musician Oliver Brian in April, 15 months after the pair went public with their romance.

She confirmed her relationship with Oliver in an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Stellar Magazine in December 2019.

‘Yes, I’m in love and I feel very excited to tell you,’ she told the publication, describing their relationship as ‘new’ at the time.

Meanwhile, Lachlan got engaged to ballet dancer Dana Stephensen last year.

Lachlan and Dana also surprised everyone when they announced they’d welcomed twins in September last year.

The Wiggles star wrote on Instagram: ‘Oh Lulu and Lottie, your mummy and daddy love you with all we have – you are both so beautiful – and I would love to sing to you both forever.’

Neither Lachlan nor Dana had given any indication they were expecting a child, let alone twins, meaning fans were completely floored by the news.
