FWAW: Contestant Tara Hurl ‘incredibly disappointed’ by show’s editing

Tara Hurl is the latest Farmer Wants a Wife star to slam the show.

The 25-year-old complained about the way the Seven program was ‘edited and produced’ in a lengthy post on Instagram on Wednesday.

Tara had found love on the series with Victorian farmer Matt Trewin, 26, with the finale airing earlier this week.

However, it remains unclear if the couple are still together.

Tara posted a selfie and wrote in the caption that things had been a ‘bloody whirlwind’ of late.

‘The people who have been around me will attest to the fact I have been on edge for quite some time having to relive something filmed so long ago,’ she said.

Tara then said she was unhappy with her experience on the show and the way it was made and promoted by production company Fremantle and the Seven Network.

‘Obviously I am incredibly disappointed in the way Fremantle Media, Channel Seven and the entirety of Farmer Wants A Wife was produced and edited,’ she claimed.

‘And regardless of those who say “you should know what you’re in for” you never expect any person or company to do you so wrong like that.’

She concluded by saying she would ‘publicly call out’ any trolls criticising her on social media.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Seven and Fremantle for comment.

Earlier this week, FWAW stars Andrew Guthrie and Jess Nathan revealed what really went on behind the scenes, claiming they wanted to leave the series together early on after falling in love, but were denied.

Jess, 27, told The Daily Telegraph: ‘Andrew knew he was going to pick me, so we went to the producers and told them we’d fallen in love and wanted to leave, but they said no.’

She added that she was told filming would have to stop and ‘people would lose their jobs’ if they told his other contestants.

‘They also told us we couldn’t tell the other girls of our connection because it would mean the whole show would have to stop filming and people would lose their jobs,’ she added.

Meanwhile, Andrew, 30, claimed his ‘solid love story’ with Jess wasn’t portrayed accurately on the show.

‘We had a solid love story and they have spun it the other way,’ he said.

But according to the publication, an insider has ‘strongly denied’ Jess’ claims.

A representative at Freemantle Media, the production company behind the hit show, told Daily Mail Australia in a statement that it can be ‘challenging and stressful’ trying to find love on a TV show and said they offer support for contestants.

‘The producers of FWAW acknowledge that being a contestant on a reality television show trying to find love is challenging and can be stressful at times,’ the spokesperson said.

They added: ‘The producers of FWAW have in place extensive policies and procedures to create a safe environment for all parties involved in production and we continue to offer support to all our contestants.’

Jess and Andrew declared their love for each other during the finale of the series on Wednesday.
