Beauty and the Geek makes its first love connections as sparks fly between two couples 

On Monday’s episode of Beauty and the Geek, two couples made love connections after a mixer party filled with sparks.  

Bryanna Reynolds admitted that she had developed a crush on her geek, Kiran Rao, and was hoping things turn physical.

‘I don’t get to meet a lot of guys like Kiran. I am not used to a guy being caring and honest and open,’ the 29-year-old entertainment reporter from Victoria said. 

‘I think he’s cute. Like, if he wanted to like, make a move or anything, then I would be okay with that!’ she added. 

Kiran, a 30-year-old who works at a tech startup, said he loved making Bryanna smile and was hoping she liked him too – and he is in luck. 

The pair were recoupled at the end of the episode by host Sophie Monk, after Kiran said that Bryanna ‘gives me energy, there’s a spark’. 

Meanwhile, chemistry also ignited between another twosome who weren’t initially coupled on the show.  

Jess Heatley and James Letheby were partnered with other contestants, but bonded at Sunday and Monday’s mixers. 

Sophie noticed the sizzle between the pair, reshuffling the couples so that journalist Jess, 23, and cosplayer James, 25, could now be a couple.     

‘We had a really good talk at the last mixer. He’s one of the geeks that I could talk to all day,’ Jess admitted. 

‘The type of guys I usually go for are bad boys.  I know it is bad for me but I do it anyway. I have been treated badly in the past and should have walked away sooner than I did,’ she added. 

‘James is so gorgeous to be around, he is such a gentleman, not only to me but to everyone in the room. he’s that bright light and I am very attracted to that. ‘

Meanwhile, James said that Jess had given him ‘a newfound confidence I didn’t know existed’.
