Maggie Gyllenhaal looked sensational on Tuesday as she gathered with fellow jurors for a photocall ahead of the Cannes Film Festival opening gala.

The actress cut a stylish figure in a black bandeau top and wide-leg trousers, adding a thin belt with gold detailing to complete the ensemble. 

The 43-year-old finalised the outfit with flat black sandals, a few silver bangles and black shades while adding a splash of colour with red lipstick.

Maggie looked simply sensational in the simple yet stunning ensemble.  

The film producer kept her bob parted to one side and pulled off bold red lipstick. 

She appeared to be in very good spirits as she soaked up the Cannes sunshine ahead of the film festival’s opening gala.

This year’s winners will be decided and announced by a nine-member jury, which includes Spike Lee – who is jury president – Song Kang-Ho and Melanie Laurent.

Following the photocall, the nine-member jury made their way to a news conference.

Maggie was spotted grinning next to juror Tahar Rahim after taking off her navy facemask.

This year marks the 74th anniversary of the film festival and the gongs will be handed out at the end of the Festival on July 17, with films by Leos Carax, Wes Anderson, Sean Penn, and Paul Verhoeven all in the running.

Maggie is an Academy Award-nominated actress, producer, writer and director, beginning her career appearing in the cult favorite Donnie Darko in 2001).

She starred in a breakout role in 2002’s Secretary, followed by Sherrybaby in 2006.  

Both of these performances saw her nominated for a Golden Globe.

Further credits include World Trade Center (2006), The Dark Knight (2008), Crazy Heart (2009). The latter earned the actress her first Oscar nomination.

She has also worked on The Honourable Woman (2014), The Deuce (2017), The Kindergarten Teacher (2018) and recently adapted and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter.
