Denmark produced a statement performance against Wales in Amsterdam, with Kasper Dolberg scoring twice to put his side into a commanding position.

Joakim Maehle and Martin Braithwaite then put the icing on the cake with two late finishes to sink Wales even further.

It has been a fantastic turnaround from Denmark, who suffered defeat during their opening match against Finland with the players clearly affected by Eriksen’s cardiac arrest.

After falling to defeat in their next match against Belgium too, Denmark squeezed through to the last-16 stage with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Russia before continuing their Euro journey with the 4-0 win over Wales.

Hjulmand’s side will now face the winner of Holland or the Czech Republic in Baku next Saturday evening.
