ITV viewers did a double take as Roy Keane presented the commentary for the Euro 2020 Italy vs Switzerland match on Wednesday.
The former Manchester United star, 49, appeared on screen with a clean-shaven face, a day after presenting the show with an impressive beard.
Those watching at home struggled to concentrate on the commentary of Italy’s 3-O win over Switzerland because they were so distracted by Roy’s new look.

While Roy made no reference on the show to his lack of facial hair, viewers soon took to Twitter to comment on his transformation.
One fan said: ‘Didn’t Roy Keane have a massive beard yesterday? Am I going mad?’
While a second, joked: ‘Where is Roy Keane’s beard? Has it deserted the angriest man in football? Arranging a crowdfund for its safe return.’
And a third Tweeted: ‘Roy Keane had a beard yesterday and now he’s clean shaven. This man is playing games with our minds and I love it.

Taking to social media to voice their opinions on Roy’s new look, one fan said: ‘Didn’t Roy Keane have a massive beard yesterday? Am I going mad?’
‘Hope he wears a wig tomorrow and doesn’t say a thing.’
While another football fan said they were ‘in mourning’ over the loss of Roy’s beard from her screen.
Roy’s hairless appearance was explained on Instagram by the Hair Bear Barbers in Kent, who uploaded a picture of Roy during his visit.
They captioned the picture, in which Roy is stood next to a member of staff, ‘We hope that our newest customer enjoyed his shave today. Shave by Julian – photo with Nat.

Speaking about Roy’s visit for a trim, the barbers’ co-owner Donda Michaelas told KentOnline: ‘He had the Hairy Bear special and left a nice tip. I think he was happy and we’ll see how his face looks on TV tonight.
‘The staff said he was polite and took a photo with staff at the end. For us it’s an absolute privilege to have a legend in like that.’
