Willow, 20, who recently called Avril an ‘icon’ wore a colorful outfit consisting of neon plaid pants and a ripped yellow T-shirt with some chunky white lace-up boots.

Avril matched Willow, who is the daughter of Will Smith, in some tartan pants and a black shirt but covered up in a leather jacket despite the southern California heat.

‘I’m so excited that I’m going to be having a song on the album with Avril Lavigne,’ Willow told V magazine.

‘She is so iconic. From [ages] 13 to 16, she was my idol. It’s really nice to be able to have a quintessential pop-punk record with the pop-punk queen.’

Willow also said with her new music she hopes to add more representation to the rock world.

‘Through the music that I’m putting out right now and the representation that I can bring to the mix, I just hope that the Black girls that are listening to my music and listening to this album see that there’s more of us out there.
