Strictly favourite Chris Ramsey and his podcaster wife Rosie make hilarious video as they swap their glam showbiz lives for a day working for Amazon

Strictly favourite Chris Ramsey and his podcast co-star wife Rosie have swapped their glitzy showbiz lives for a day’s graft working for online shopping retailer Amazon.

The pair filmed a hilarious video where they follow the journey of a gym towel ordered from small business Dock & Bay, founded by Andy Jefferies, which saw them pack the product at an Amazon fulfilment centre before joining a delivery driver to drop off the parcel at their house.

The authors of best-selling book Shagged. Married. Annoyed, which they turned into a hit podcast, also discover who does the most online shopping, plus Chris, 34, gets a touch over-excited in the presence of robots at the warehouse.

They joined forces with Amazon to celebrate the retailer’s £10 credit to spend on Prime Day when customers spend £10 on small business products in Amazon’s store from now until June 20.

Chris and Rosie said: ‘Before today we had no idea that over half of the products sold on Amazon were from small and medium businesses, so it was great to meet Andy and hear more about how retailing on the site has positively impacted thousands of UK businesses like Dock & Bay.

‘With a host of artisan sellers and innovators to choose from, and with the added incentive of receiving a £10 credit just for supporting small businesses, there’s no reason not to check out the small businesses selling on Amazon ahead of Prime Day.’

They added: ‘As a family of four, including young boys, you wouldn’t believe how often we shop on Amazon.

‘Especially as we’ve recently moved into a new home in a rural village. Luckily our Prime membership means we get our stuff delivered the next day – which is great. Every year we look out for Prime Day and can’t wait to have a browse on 21st and 22nd June.’

After ordering his purchase from Dock & Bay, Chris met the young entrepreneur and founder of the colourful beachwear brand, Andy. It’s just one of thousands of UK small business sellers that reach customers worldwide, through Amazon.

Chris and Rosie had their second son Rafe in January and revealed shortly afterwards they had moved into their dream home.

Rosie admitted becoming a mother for the second time was easier than her first experience with first son Robin, which she says aged her by ‘900 years’.

She said: ‘Two different babies and two very different looking mes’! I’ve aged about 900 years for one. I am honestly enjoying motherhood so much more second time around.

‘I don’t feel anywhere near as worried all the time! I used to stress about every single thing with Robin. I would write down how much he drank, how long he slept, how many poos he’d had . THE LOT!

‘With Rafe I’m currently working on a ‘Oh, he’s crying, he needs something!’ type of thing…. And it’s great! He has slotted in so perfectly to our family dynamic and I just love him for that (thanks babes.)’
