MasterChef star Maja Veit suffers epic dessert fail during elimination round

MasterChef star Maja Veit will face a culinary failure of epic proportions on Sunday night.

During the elimination round, her panna cotta fails to set, leaving nothing but a liquid mess on her plate.

In a sneak peek shared to MasterChef’s Instagram page, the budding chef is seen attempting to plate the parmesan-topped dessert out of the steamer.

Oh no! MasterChef’s Maja Veit (pictured) appears to suffer an epic dessert fail during the elimination round on Sunday

‘I get one of my parmesan Panna Cotta’s out because I have to try to plate this up to give myself the best chance [at winning],’ Maja said in a piece to camera.

‘I’m just really hoping that it’s set,’ she added.

The clip then shows her tipping the dessert over before liquid fills the plate.

‘Nope,’ she said, as a panicked Andy Allen looks on.

Judge Andy tells Maja to think strategically and to call it quits on round one in order to do a better cook in round two.

According to a clip reported by News.com.au, the remaining chefs will be paired up to cook against each other in a one-on-one cook on Sunday night.

They will have 90 minutes to cook but the time they don’t use from round one will be available for them in round two’s cook.

At the beginning of the challenge, the contestants get to choose their own aprons with the colour determining who they will cook against.

It is later revealed it is Pete vs Elise; Kishwar vs Sabina; Minoli vs Brent; Depinder vs Maja; Linda vs Aaron and Justin vs Scott.
