‘What a prick’: Kyle Sandilands explodes as Ben Fordham ruins his 50th birthday by announcing he is SIXTY during a 2GB news bulletin
The KIIS FM team rolled out the red carpet for host Kyle Sandilands on his milestone 50th birthday on Thursday.
But their efforts were undermined by 2GB breakfast presenter Ben Fordham, who delighted in trolling his radio rival over on the AM bandwidth.
During an ‘on this day in history’ segment, the 44-year-old announced it was Kyle’s 60th birthday and said he was born on June 10, 1961.

Kyle was actually born on June 10, 1971, making him 50.
Ben told his 2GB listeners: ‘It’s happy birthday to radio host Kyle Sandilands, who is 60 today.’
Over on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the shock jock couldn’t hide his anger.

‘What a prick,’ he said. ‘He can’t help himself.’
Kyle then called up 2GB and complained to Zac McLean, the executive producer of Ben Fordham Live.
‘It’s Kyle here. I’m not 60. Can you tell ginger balls [Ben] that it’s only 50,’ he said.
Zac pleaded ignorance, replying: ‘Well, I’ve got June 10, 1961.’
An exasperated Kyle snapped back: ‘No, ’71. You guys are very… I thought you were a news station? Well, you go and answer your one call.’
He then hung up.
