‘What would I tell 23 year old me?⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Firstly, be nicer to your family. They really only want the best for you… even tho they probably don’t know what that is. They would move heaven and earth for you, and when push comes to shove I can guarantee they will be there,’ she added.

She went on to say:⁣ ‘Your friends. Pick them wisely. If you’re lucky enough to have the same friends for more than a decade then that’s some jackpot sh*t. Be forever grateful and treat them as you would want to be treated.’

‘Chances are your friendships will probably out last your relationship. Be loyal, be supportive, remember no one is perfect… so accept your friends with their flaws.’

Martha also expressed how important it is to ‘be kind to yourself, your body and your mind.’

‘Sure there are things you won’t like about your thighs and your nose… remember, even Kendall Jenner edits her pics. The sooner you own sh*t the sooner you’ll get ahead.’

‘If there is something about yourself that makes you truly unhappy, change it. Life is short.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ If you get to your 30s and you’re still single you will be okay, I promise, there is nothing wrong with you.’

Martha continued: ‘Most of us are still a d**kheads in our twenties, and probably not fit to make a decision about a life partner, and that’s okay. People will forgive you for being a d**khead in your twenties but they won’t forgive your for being a d**khead in your thirties.’

‘Lastly, pay attention to what you are good at… like what you are truly good at? Without even trying. What comes naturally to you? Nurture it and celebrate it! Even if it’s the small thing you can do well.’

‘And don’t let any one tell you you’re not good enough, because you’ll always have doubters,’ she ended.
