‘They gunned the mob mum down!’ Big Brother’s Mary Kalifatidis is evicted from the house in the ultimate betrayal

Martha Kalifatidis’ mother Mary was booted off Monday night’s episode of Big Brother in perhaps the most brutal eviction yet.

The 56-year-old said she ‘got blindsided’ and that ‘they gunned the mob mum down’ after she received the most votes in the ultimate betrayal.

Sarah Jane Adams and Danny Hayes made an alliance with Marley Biyendolo, with Marley believing they would keep Mary safe and send Christina Podolyan home.

‘Marley had made a pact with Danny, and the pact was that if he wins, he can put two of Danny’s alliances up, but he had to put one of his, which was me,’ Mary explained to 7News.

Marley kept his promise after winning Monday’s eviction challenge, choosing to nominate Christina, Ari Kimber and his ‘safe vote’ Mary.

Danny convinced Marley that Christina would receive the most votes and be sent home, however in the ultimate betrayal he ensured Mary would be evicted.

‘Marley thought everyone loved me and that I would be safe, but he didn’t realise that people aren’t loyal like him,’ Mary told 7News.

Mary went on to say that there is no loyalty in the house.

‘Once you’re nominated, no one is safe in that chair. You don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors, there is no safe vote,’ she said.

Mary also told New Idea magazine that she knew her days were numbered.

‘I knew from the night before I was leaving,’ she said. ‘I’d already packed my stuff. My gut was telling me.’

‘When host Sonia (Kruger) said, “Mary, what do you think?” I said, “Sonia, I know I’m being blindsided”.’

Big Brother continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven
