Delta Goodrem brings Victoria’s Secret grandeur to Australian Fashion Week as she performs on the runway at the Manning Cartell show

Guests at Australian Fashion Week were almost convinced they were at a Victoria’s Secret show on Thursday as Delta Goodrem delivered a spectacular performance on the runway at Sydney’s Carriageworks.

Strutting along the Manning Cartell catwalk flanked by a parade of models, the 36-year-old belted out her new song Bridge Over Troubled Dreams.

She looked sensational in a hot pink dress, which she teamed with a gold chain necklace and matching strappy heels.

Show-stopper: Guests at Australian Fashion Week were almost convinced they were at a Victoria’s Secret show on Thursday as Delta Goodrem (second from right) delivered a spectacular performance on the runway at Sydney’s Carriageworks

As she sang on the runway, Delta gave the fashionistas in the front row a glimpse of her toned legs courtesy of the thigh split on the back of her dress.

Delta cast plenty of sultry looks during her performance, working the camera just as effectively as the models alongside her.

The other women on stage all looked striking as they modelled outfits from Manning Cartell’s latest collection – but they weren’t able to upstage the Born to Try hitmaker.

Delta is currently riding a career high.

She became a best-selling author last month when her book Bridge Over Troubled Dreams – an accompaniment to her album of the same name – topped the charts.

She visited several bookstores around the country, where she signed copies of the tome and met her devoted fans.

Her latest LP, also called Bridge Over Troubled Dreams, topped the ARIA charts.

Delta has previously admitted she doesn’t always feel comfortable being in the celebrity spotlight.

She said that while she has respect for reality stars who have turned their 15 minutes of fame into an income, she has a different perspective on things.

‘It was a different era growing up. For some reason [becoming famous] was just a part of my DNA,’ she told Daily Mail Australia last month.

‘When people would refer to me [as a celebrity], I always used to be like, “Well, I always thought of myself as, you know, I am an artist, a musician and an actress.”

‘[Fame] was just a part of the industry. I always kind of decided between that. There was a different craft of my intention.’
