The Veronicas’ Jessica and Lisa Origliasso accuse Celebrity Apprentice producers of ‘manipulation’

The Veronicas’ Jessica and Lisa Origliasso have continued their online tirade against Channel Nine over their portrayal of Celebrity Apprentice.

Posting to Instagram on Tuesday night, the twin sisters, 36, uploaded a lengthy ‘open letter’ on Instagram Stories, in which they accused producers of using ‘manipulative tactics’ and unfair editing.

‘Dear Celebrity Apprentice. This open letter is not for the public, the public is going to form an opinion based off what you put in front of them. This is for the crew and production involved in the show that knows the truth,’ the letter began.

‘You’ve edited out all the facts’: The Veronicas’ Jess and Lisa Origliasso, both 36, have accused Celebrity Apprentice’s producers of using ‘manipulative tactics’ and unfair editing to portray them negatively on the show

‘You signed us up for your show under the guise of charity and heart. Our genuine intentions and passion reduced to an edit,’ it continued.

The musicians also accused the editors of portraying them as being pushy, and even using their mother’s illness ‘for sympathy’.

‘It was you who constantly asked us to reiterate our charity and why we were there during [Tuesday night’s episode] and you turn around and weaponise our words and our mummy’s name – turning them into a knife used to stab us in the heart. Shame on you,’ they raged.

The twins, who act as carers for their mother, joined Celebrity Apprentice to raise money for The Brain foundation, as well as to raise awareness of neurological illness.

‘What you have done to us is gut wrenching, soul destroying and the lowest thing you could ever do to us as women, daughters and carers,’ the letter continued.

‘You have used us at the most fragile time in our lives. This was never a game to us, this is our reality we were fighting for.’

During Tuesday night’s episode, Jessica and Lisa broke down in tears after an altercation with Camilla Franks over her team’s electrician assisting them during a challenge.

After failing to convince the electrician to assist with completing their art pieces during the challenge, the sisters marched onto the opposing team’s job site.

‘Where’s the electrician? Where is he? I want to talk to him,’ Jess asked.

Camilla walked over and told the pair: ‘We have made an executive decision because we have two more pieces to get done with our beautiful electrician… We booked him first.’

‘Sorry this has nothing to do with you Camilla. We are asking this man to be good to his word…Maybe keep your integrity and dignity and that might help because I know it’s all fun and games but we are in this for our mum,’ Jess added.

She continued: ‘I don’t want to keep arguing with you right now. I respect you and love you as a person but this time I would really love a little bit of grace.’

Argument: During their clash, Jess told Camilla that she should 'keep her integrity and dignity' by allowing them to use her electrician, as the sisters were 'doing this for their mum'

‘@CelebrityApprentice the fact you edited out all the facts, so we become entitled brats – expecting favours and using our mums condition for benefit is truly the lowest you could have gone. I hope you pay your editors well for the souls they sell,’ Jess and Lisa Tweeted from their joint Twitter account.

‘The fact they have edited this to seem like emotional manipulation and blackmailing people for sympathy is awful,’ the pair added.

They continued: ‘Being gaslit on an edit over something so close to our hearts is truly beyond comprehension. We are grateful there was money made for all the charities involved.’
