Emma Stone put a stylish spin on California casual when she was spotted in Santa Monica this Wednesday.

The 32-year-old movie star wore all-black workout gear and accessorized with a matching leather accordion handbag.

Winding her signature red locks into a ponytail, she warded off the California rays with a pair of butterfly sunglasses.

Emma made sure to stock up on refreshments, holding a water bottle and tucking a Starbucks cup in the crook of one arm.

The Favourite actress can currently be seen in movie theaters starring in the Disney live-action origin story film about Cruella De Vil.

Cruella also stars Emma Thompson as nefarious Baroness Von Hellman who is instrumental in the title character’s transformation into a villain herself.

The movie was helmed by Australian director Craig Gillespie whose previous work includes I, Tonya and Lars And The Real Girl. 

During a recent interview promoting the film Emma Stone said she would like to see an origin story for The Little Mermaid’s villain Ursula.

‘She’s an octopus and the world you would get to live in, like Ursula’s parents and what happened there,’ she said to Variety

Emma, who won an Oscar for La La Land, added: ‘You’ve never really seen a non-human Disney villain be explored in that way.’

The character was inspired by the drag queen divine and voiced by Pat Carroll in the original 1989 animated classic film.

An upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid is in the works with pop act Halle Bailey in the title role and Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
