‘We’re really honest about our feelings towards each other and could potentially grow into a relationship at some point,’ he added.

Brenton explained that meeting on a TV show, having to readjust to life in the real world and living interstate were ‘just a few too many challenges in the way to allow their relationship to progress’.

He then admitted that hasn’t ruled out a future relationship with Christina.

Brenton also said he hopes to see Christina win the $250,000 prize money.

‘I hope that Christina doesn’t feel that by having a fling with me, it was a disadvantage to her,’ he added.

‘I would really liked to see that progress to the top three so that she knows by having this thing with me, it didn’t disadvantage her in anyway.’

It comes just days after Christina told Daily Mail Australia she recently got to spend some time alone with Brenton away from the cameras.

‘We hung out in Sydney a few weekends ago and got to spend some time together for the first time away from cameras,’ she said.

Christina added that Brenton ‘is a really charming boy to look at’ and ‘quite solid eye candy’, before detailing how their relationship developed on the Seven show.

‘I really feel like it was organic,’ she explained.

‘I feel like the love story with Mitchell [Spencer] may have been pressured because I was obviously very uncomfortable, but with Brenton it was very natural and free-flowing.’

Last month, Christina and Brenton were spotted on a date night in Sydney’s Double Bay.
