MAFS Australia: Ines Basic warns fans not to apply for dating shows

Married At First Sight’s Ines Basic warns fans not to apply for dating shows because ‘TV is business and they just want ratings’

She rose to fame on Nine’s controversial reality show Married At First Sight in 2019.

But on Thursday, Ines Basic warned fans against applying for dating programs.

During an Instagram Q&A with fans, she was asked if she would recommend going on a reality show – and she didn’t mince her words.

‘I’m sorry if you live in a bubble and I just burst it’: On Thursday, Married At First Sight’s Ines Basic warned fans against applying for dating programs

‘Shows don’t pay as well as people think. No lol,’ the Queenslander replied.

‘TV is a business at the end of the day. It’s not genuine. They want ratings and clickbait. They don’t actually care for your story,’ she added.

‘I’m sorry if you live in a bubble and I just burst it,’ Ines concluded.

Ines was paired with Bronson Norrish on season six of MAFS, but their union was doomed from the start when she did not find him attractive on their wedding day.

She went on to have an affair with another groom, Sam Ball, who was ‘married’ to Elizabeth Sobinoff in the experiment.

The outspoken bride recently told Unpopular their illicit hook up was authentic.

She did say that she never slept with the male model though, and blamed editing for making it look like the pair had consummated their illicit tryst.

Ines, who is now a successful Instagram influencer, has insisted she was the one who got the unfair edit on the show, while her ex-‘husband’ emerged unscathed.

She told Daily Mail Australia earlier this year: ‘I spent two years in therapy hating myself when they new and for copping the most unbalanced edit in reality history.’
