Richard Wilkins re-releases his old music videos and reveals not even his kids have seen them

Richard ‘Wilde’ Wilkins looks unrecognisable as re-releases his music from when he was a ’70s pop star… and admits not even his kids have seen the cringeworthy clips

Before he was one of Australia’s leading entertainment reporters, Richard Wilkins had a career as a pop star in the late ’70s to early ’80s.

And more than 40-years after hanging up his microphone, the 66-year-old TV presenter is gearing up to re-release his long-lost music catalogue.

During an appearance on Today, Richard spoke about his past career as a pop star and confessed that not even his kids had seen his music videos.

‘They haven’t seen it! I don’t sit at home playing all that stuff… No! Goodness me,’ the red-faced reporter told hosts David Campbell and Allison Langdon.

Up until recently, Richard only had access to ‘bits and pieces’ of his work, but was given the full catalogue after a visit to the famed Abbey Road Studios in London.

‘The nice thing is that the grandkids will actually have all this stuff in one place,’ he continued.
