Police launch hunt to find missing Gloucester girl, 16, amid fears for her safety and that she’s travelled to the West Midlands

  • Ellie Williams, 16, from Gloucester, was last seen around 7pm on Monday night
  • Police believe she may have travelled to Smethwick in the West Midlands
  • She was last seen in dark leggings, black crop top and a dark blue Nike jacket
  • Police say she was also carrying a light pink handbag and wearing pink trainers 
  • Officers have appealed to anyone with information to come foward to report it 

Police have launched an urgent appeal for information to help find missing Ellie Williams, 16, from Gloucester (pictured), who was last seen on Monday

Police have launched an urgent appeal to trace the whereabouts of a missing teenage girl who has not been since since Monday.  

Ellie Williams, 16, from Gloucester, was last spotted in Waddington Way in Kingsway at around 7pm.

But police believe she may have travelled to the Walsall area in the West Midlands after their investigation carried out ‘telephone work’.

The teen is described as 5ft 10, of heavy build, wears glasses and has very long red hair.

She was last seen wearing black leggings, a black crop top, a dark blue Nike jacket, a light pink handbag and pink trainers.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said: ‘We’re appealing for information that may help to locate a teenage girl who has been reported missing from Gloucester.

’16-year-old Ellie Williams was last seen on Waddington Way in Kingsway at 7pm on Monday night (May 17) and has not returned since which has caused concerns for her welfare.

‘It is believed that Ellie may have travelled to the Smethwick area and officers are liaising with colleagues at West Midlands Police.

‘Anyone who has seen Ellie since last night or knows of her whereabouts is asked to please call 101 quoting incident 465 of 17 May. If seen at the time of calling please dial 999.’

West Midlands Police, who are continuing the investigation, were contacted by Mail Online for comment.
