MAFS: Bryce Ruthven slams ‘fake’ radio host Chrissie Swan amid feud

Married At First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven slams ‘fake’ radio host Chrissie Swan and says she was ‘rude’ during their interview

Married At First Sight‘s Bryce Ruthven has accused Nova 100 breakfast radio host Chrissie Swan of being ‘rude’ and ‘disrespectful’.

Speaking on his podcast What Happens After, Bryce said he lost respect for a certain ‘Melbourne radio presenter’ after weeks of being criticised by her on air during his stint on the Channel Nine reality show.

While the 32-year-old didn’t identify Chrissie by name, he has since confirmed to Daily Mail Australia he was referring to her during his podcast.

‘We went into that radio station one day and she didn’t have a bar of you at all,’ he said, speaking to his girlfriend Melissa Rawson.

‘She was quite rude, and never even said hello to you. [Chrissie] had me in the studio and she went at me, hammered me on the radio,’ he added.

Bryce explained that while he accepted the fact he was going to get grilled over his problematic on-screen behaviour, he was surprised that Chrissie was so much more ‘polite’ to him when the microphones were turned off.

This suggested to him that Chrissie’s on-air persona was ‘fake’.

‘When the microphones went off and I was talking to her one on one, either she was fake on air or fake off air because she was being quite polite to me,’ he said.

The controversial groom went on to address claims he was banned from appearing on the Nova 100 breakfast show ever again.

Following his uncomfortable appearance on the program, Bryce said he told his Channel Nine publicist he wouldn’t be returning.

‘I said, “I refuse to speak to them,” which is why I never went back there,’ he said.

‘[Chrissie] kept saying publicly that Bryce was banned from our show. You didn’t ban me from your show; I said I didn’t want to go in there.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Chrissie Swan and Nova 100 for comment.
