Ellen child star Rosie McClelland reveals what she’s really like behind the scenes

Ellen DeGeneres announced last week she would be ending her long-running talk show after 19 seasons, following a highly publicised toxic workplace scandal.

And on Wednesday, one of Ellen’s most famous guests revealed what the TV host was really like behind the scenes.

Child star Rosie McClelland – one half of the British duo Sophia Grace and Rosie – told KIIS FM she didn’t have a bad word to say about the 63-year-old.

‘We never had any negative experiences’: Rosie McClelland revealed what Ellen DeGeneres was REALLY like behind the scenes of her talk show, after the comedian recently announced she will end her program after 19 seasons after a highly-publicised toxic workplace scandal

The 14-year-old rose to fame with her cousin Sophia Grace Brownlee in 2011 when they performed Super Bass by Nicki Minaj on the Ellen show.

‘We never had any negative experiences, they were all positive,’ Rosie told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

‘Ellen and the crew, they treated us with respect, kindness and positivity.’

‘They were always so nice to us, we never had any negative actions toward us,’ she added.

Elsewhere in the interview, Rosie admitted she and her older cousin had gone their ‘own ways’.

She explained: ‘Me and Sophia, we’re cousins, and Sophia’s gone her own way and I’ve gone my own way.’

Rosie is pursing a pop music career, while Sophia runs her own clothing brand.

Radio host Kyle Sandilands asked if they had ‘fallen out’, but Rosie insisted this wasn’t the case.

‘We still see each other,’ she said.

‘We haven’t fallen out. We’re like best friends, I see her all the time because she is my cousin. I see her on special occasions like birthdays.

Kyle then asked if they would appear on Ellen’s final season of her talk show.

‘I really hope we [do],’ she said, ‘But if we’re not we still have all the memories to look back on.’

Her appearance on KIIS FM comes after she spoke about her experience with Ellen on Channel Nine’s Today Extra last week.

A big deal: Her appearance on the KIIS FM radio show comes after she did a guest spot on Channel Nine's Today Extra where she also discussed her experience with Ellen. 'I wasn't that nervous as I was five years old, but now I realise how much of a big deal it was,' she laughed
