Earlier in May, Rag’n’Bone Man said he would love for his three-year-old son Reuben to ‘go into music’ as he discusses ‘winging it’ as a parent after splitting from his wife.

Talking about his son’s love of music, the musician said Reuben has recently started asking to go to the studio with him and carries a harmonica in his pocket when he goes to nursery.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross show, he said he often feels like he’s ‘winging it’ as a father after he split from Reuben’s mother Beth Rouy in 2019 after just six months of marriage.

When asked about parenting the singer said: ‘We’re all winging it aren’t we? All the time. Especially as a father.’

Speaking about his son Reuben, who’ll be four in August and whether he’s into music Rory said: ‘Quite recently he’s started saying, ‘Daddy can we go to studio?’ He’ll sit around and bash the drums quite hard.

‘I picked him up from nursery, one of his teachers said, “Just so you’re aware, Ruben’s got a harmonica in his pocket.” He’d nicked it from the studio and taken it to nursery.’

He added: ‘I’d love him to go into music. As long as he’s happy.’

Since splitting from his wife in November 2019, the star has moved on with his new waitress girlfriend and mother-of-three Zoe Beardsall as they were seen out together for the first time in January this year.
