‘They’ve thrown me out!’ Comedian Tom Allen reveals he’s FINALLY moved out of his parents’ home aged 37 but says he doesn’t have any furniture yet
Tom Allen has revealed that he’s finally moved out of his parents’ home at the age of 37.
The comedian told of the exciting news on Thursday’s Lorraine, where he joked that his mum and dad had ‘thrown me out’ and happily waved him off.
But despite stepping out on his own, Tom admitted that he’s yet to fill his new abode with furniture and simply had an array of plastic plants to decorate his home.

After discussing his new quiz show, host Lorraine Kelly, 61, decided to quiz him on his home life.
She asked: ‘Tell me this, have you or have you not finally moved out from your parents? Are you out into the world like a little fledgling? Are you out having to buy yourself knives and forks and lemon squeezers?’
To which Tom confirmed: ‘I’ve moved out, they’ve thrown me out!

‘No. I’ve moved out, I’ve got my own place, look how happy they are, that’s them waving me off.’
Referring to the foliage behind him on screen, Tom added: ‘I don’t live in a garden centre if that’s what it looks like.
‘I am not in a garden centre, I just got all the plastic flowers I bought in IKEA and shoved it in the background so it doesn’t look too plain.’
The Apprentice: You’re Fired host, who filmed his ‘Locked In’ Instagram series from his parents’ home, went on to admit that he’s yet to buy any furniture to decorate his new home.

Curious: Lorraine asked: ‘Tell me this, have you or have you not finally moved out from your parents? Are you out into the world like a little fledgling?’
He added: ‘I have no furniture, I just have a bed, so I’m ever lying down or standing up!’
Meanwhile, Tom recently opened up filming his Channel 4 quiz show, Tom Allen’s Quizness.
He told The Sunday Post: ‘We had such a laugh making it; really amazing crew, everybody worked so hard, and the set looks amazing. “It sort of looks a bit like a cruise ship,” I kept saying.
Home alone: To which Tom confirmed: ‘I’ve moved out, they’ve thrown me out! ‘No. I’ve moved out, I’ve got my own place, look how happy they are, that’s them waving me off’
‘The contestants go up some steps at the back when they leave, but it wasn’t quite clear where they had to go and, at one point, people started going the wrong way and they’d have to walk back. I love all those things, where you see the behind-the-scenes of it, and see things going just a little bit wrong.’
Meanwhile, he also told of his excitement of performing stand-up comedy again, adding that it will feel like a ‘celebration’.
He said: ‘I’m very excited! I hope there will be a sense of real celebration in the way that we go and see live arts and go and do stuff. What I’ve always loved about stand-up is the fact that it’s an event that happens in that space, at that time, and we all laugh and celebrate and are together.’
