Routine: Elsa Pataky, 44, revealed the secrets to her age-defying visage in a video for Vogue this week – but angered fans by missing one crucial element in her eight-step beauty routine

The mother of three said she starts her day with a cold shower and a warm glass of lemon water to invigorate the senses and energise her body.

Arguably looking just as good as she did in her twenties, the Dior ambassador then plugged a series of Dior products responsible for her ‘morning glow’.

Elsa praised Dior’s $145 Capture Totale Super Potent Serum for ‘plumping the skin’ and ‘helping with fine lines’, as well as the ‘nourishing’ $175 Capture Totale Super Potent Rich Cream.

Her final four steps comprise defining her brows, applying cheek colour, a quick application of mascara, and putting on lip balm.

However, fans were angered by one obvious omission from her eight-step routine.

'No sunscreen? How disappointing!' However, fans on YouTube were angered by one obvious omission from her eight-step routine: she didn't mention putting on sunscreen

‘No sunscreen? How disappointing!’ However, fans on YouTube were angered by one obvious omission from her eight-step routine: she didn’t mention putting on sunscreen

Commenting under the YouTube video and on Elsa’s Instagram account, fans questioned why she was not promoting the use of SPF products in the morning.

‘No sunscreen? How disappointing! Especially living in Australia. All the serums and creams are useless without sun protection,’ one person said.

Others wrote: ‘So disappointing to see another morning routine video that doesn’t include sunscreen’, ‘SPF! You need SPF!’, and ‘SPF! You live in Australia!’

She has made no secret of the fact she eats well – drinking regular green smoothies – and works out regularly, enjoying Pilates, HIIT circuits and boxing.
