Katy Perry ‘honored to join the mama club’ as she celebrates her first Mother’s Day as a mom after welcoming daughter Daisy Dove with love Orlando Bloom
Katy Perry had an emotional message on her first Mother’s Day as a mom herself.
‘I found everything [I] was ever searching for when [I] became a mother,’ the American Idol judge, 36, wrote on Twitter Sunday, more than eight months after she welcomed daughter Daisy Dove with her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, 44, last August.
The Firework singer added she was ‘so grateful for that profound, deep love and honored to join the mama club,’ adding, ‘Happiest Mother’s Day.’

The Roar artist also posted a retro shot with her mother and sister Angela Hudson, 38.
‘Happy Mama’s Day to my Mother’s Day idols (sorry not sorry sis),’ she said, also promoting her show’s Mother’s Day-themed episode.
Bloom also acknowledged the holiday, as he was seen in fishing gear in a photoshopped pic in which he stood in a lake while holding a mermaid incarnation of his fiancee.
‘Got myself a real catch,’ he wrote, with an emoji of a fish and a heart. ‘Sending love and respect to all the amazing people who have shaped our lives, supported us and loved us unconditionally.’

Perry chat with Kerr last month in an Instagram Live stream about how she felt being a parent is ‘the best job’ and ‘the most fulfilling.
She added, ‘There was no feeling like the feeling when I had my daughter. That was like all the love I was ever searching for.’
She said in the chat that she’s spiritually fulfilled by the unconditional love she receives from her baby daughter.

‘The love from your children is constant and unconditional and isn’t based on what you have, what you don’t have, what career, what product and that’s definitely made me feel so full to know that there’s this unwavering and unconditional love,’ she said. ‘I’m so glad I made the conscious decision to actually try and do that because I didn’t want to miss out on that opportunity … it’s been the best thing.’
Perry earlier this year took to Instagram Live to open up about lessons she’s learned early on as a parent.
‘I think that you realize that when you become a mother … you just have to focus on being a mom,’ she said in January. ‘And it’s not because you don’t love other people, it’s not because of anything besides you just want to be a great mom.
‘It’s really encouraged me to be even more present and to value every day. And all we have is this moment. That’s what’s promised is this moment and nothing else.’
