Heather Rae Young and Christina Haack share dueling Mother’s Day flower tributes to each other

Heather Rae Young said she talks to her fiancé Tarek El Moussa’s ex-wife Christina Haack about raising the former couples two children.

And Heather, 33, and Christina, 37, showed off their mutual respect and admiration for each other on Sunday when they both sent each other sweet floral displays in honor of Mother’s Day.

Christina shared a lovely bouquet that she received from Heather with a card addressed from her two oldest children Taylor, 10, and Brayden, five. 

‘Mom, Happy Mother’s day to the best mom ever! We love you so much! Love Tay & Bray,’ Heather wrote on the card.

‘Thank you @heatherraeyoung,’ Christina captioned the Instagram Stories photo, along with a smiley face and a heart emoji. 

Heather was also the recipient of flowers from Christina and the children, which she shared to her Instagram Stories.

‘Thank you @christinahaack happy Mother’s Day,’ she wrote. 

Tarek joined in to wish Christina a happy Mother’s Day on his account by sharing a photo of Taylor and Brayden with a tribute to his ex-wife.

‘Happy Mother’s Day @christinahaack we have some incredible kids. Hope you guys had fun,’ he wrote of their day together.

Christina also posted a cute image of Brayden with a worksheet he filled out about his mom in which he guessed that she was only 24.

Christina jokingly captioned it, ’24 and he likes my mediocre packed lunches — that’s a win. Happy Mother’s Day.’ 

Christina appeared to be taking the children out for a day at sea based on another photo with Taylor and Brayden that she shared to her Insta Stories.

She sat with the oldest children on a dock next to a boat while they were life jackets.

Earlier, she posted a cute clip of them bouncing around on a backyard trampoline with her youngest son Hudson Anstead, 19 months, whom she shared with her ex-husband Ant Anstead.  

Although Christina had the children for the day, Heather and Tarek were able to have a nice afternoon together with a family cookout featuring her mother.

She posted a short glimpse of Tarek showing off his biceps in a baby blue polo shirt before panning to show her relatives.

‘What a beautiful day,’ she wrote, adding, ‘But Missing the kiddos.’ 

Late last month, Heather opened up about her coparenting strategy with Christina in an interview with Us Weekly.

‘We communicate daily about the kids, and they’re the most important thing in the world to all of us,’ she explained.

She gushed about being accepted by Taylor and Brayden as their ‘bonus mom.’

‘They love me. I love them so much, but I think the most challenging [thing] was coming in when they were already 3 and 8 and they’re already little people, they already have the personalities, they already had a routine,’ she continued.

‘I came in after the fact. So, just kind of fitting my way into their lives, being too strict or just kind of setting those boundaries and rules and not overstepping boundaries or rules.

‘So, just kind of making sure those are in place but that was really just kind of getting our personalities, working together and living together and how I can set my boundaries with the rules that are in place that I want to have at our home,’ she said.
