The sweet snap was taken backstage at his concert at Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday night.

‘Tonight when I was on stage in Fort Worth about to play “to the guys that date my girls” my wife talked to me in my (ear monitors) and said “you can tell them if you want” so anyways, now you know,’ he added, explaining that the lovebirds are going to have their fourth girl.

‘We are pumped to be having our 4th girl,’ he wrote, as the pair are already parents to daughters Lennon Love, 14 months, Ada James, three, and Willa Gray, five.

The Country Again musician ended his post with a joke about how much money he is going to have spend as his growing brood gets older.

‘Feel free to buy all the merch you want, knowing that all the proceeds are going straight to all these weddings I’ll be paying for one day! Love you so much we always wanted a big thanksgiving table,’ he wrote.

The couple wed in October 2012 after first meeting back in the second grade.

Akins also celebrated the momentous occasion with a sweet post on her own Instagram page.

‘SURPRISE!! he just couldn’t wait any longer, so @thomasrhettakins told our newest little secret onstage at @billybobstexas in Ft. Worth (my mama’s hometown) just in time for Mother’s Day,’ she captioned a similar photo of the pair each posing with four fingers up to symbolize their new number of kids.

‘Akins family expanding in November 2021 with our FOURTH baby girl, she added, revealing she is three months along.

Thomas has been vocal about embracing his life as a ‘stereotypical dad.’

‘I mean my bus is filled with nothing but kid toys, my shorts are getting shorter, I’m taking a camera everywhere I go — a big camera — tryna just capture all these moments and really just embracing the dad life,’ he confessed during a virtual appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week.

He has also discussed the incredible bond he built with his three daughters.

‘I just love getting to spend one-on-one time with each of them, which is something that I didn’t think was really important before. I just thought as long as the five of us were together, we were good. But I think the longer I’ve gone as a dad, it’s like each child really does need that one-on-one time — in the same way that Lauren and I just need time with each other,’ he told People in April.

In that same interview, he admitted the pair have always wanted five kids, but are still holding out hope for a son one day.

‘I would love a son, but at the same time, I’m so used to embracing this “girl dad” life that I don’t really know what I would do with a boy, to be honest with you,’ he told the outlet.

The couple adopted their oldest child, daughter Willa Gray, from Uganda in 2017, which they finalized in May of that year.

In August 2017, they welcomed their first biological daughter, Ada James. Then in February 2020, the two brought in another biological daughter, Lennon Love.

The award-winning star took to Instagram in November to pay tribute to his eldest daughter on her fifth birthday.

‘You continue to amaze me with your heart, your kindness, your selflessness, and your hilariousness,’ the doting father wrote alongside photos of the little girl.

He went on: ‘You make me such a better human being, and I’m inspired by you every single day. You may be 5 but you already act like your 15. I can’t wait to watch you grow and be there with you every step of the way. To my beautiful baby girl, happy birthday sweet pea!’

‘You are the MOST amazing big sister that AJ and Lennon could ask for,’ he ended the touching tribute.
