Radio producer blasts ‘creep’ using her photos for fake ‘sugar baby’ Instagram page

Radio producer blasts ‘creep’ for using her photos to make a fake ‘sugar baby’ Instagram page… before revealing it’s the FIFTH time it’s happened this year

Radio producer Jana Hocking has revealed she’s been the target of a scammer stealing her photos to use on fake ‘sugar baby’ pages – for the fifth time in a year.

On Tuesday, the 36-year-old dating columnist furiously lashed out at an account named ‘Suga_babyash’, which had nabbed her glamorous selfies and promised followers they could ‘have some fun’ in the page’s bio.

After asking friends to report the ‘creep’ account, Jana told Daily Mail Australia that it’s not the first time it’s happened – or the first platform.

Not again! Radio producer Jana Hocking has revealed she’s been the target of a scammer stealing her photos to use on fake ‘sugar baby’ pages – for the fifth time in a year

‘I’ve had people slide into my DMs to say they’ve seen my pictures on dating apps [Tinder] in Melbourne, and apparently there’s someone in Brazil using my pictures on a Facebook profile,’ she said.

‘I joke about hoping the fake me has good banter, but I’m slightly worried that people who are matching with ‘her’ are getting badly led on. I don’t want someone coming up to me on the street screaming, because I didn’t turn up for a date.’

The term ‘sugar baby’ refers to when an older, wealthy person – or sugar daddy – spends lavishly on a younger, attractive person usually in exchange for companionship.

When asked why she thought her pictures were being targeting for such a scam, Jana replied: ‘I don’t know why they’re using my pictures – there’s way hotter girls out there!

‘It is fairly easy to report – thank goodness- and I always pop them in my Instagram stories so if anyone comes across them they can report the fake ones. But these are just the ones that have been sent to me.

‘Lord knows about what’s going on in internet land.’

Jana revealed her pictures had been using her photos on Tinder, under the names ‘Abella’ and ‘Suzy’.

A follower had sent her a message saying: ‘I think I’ve come across your picture on Tinder but under a different name… I want to say I hope it’s real, but I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s not.’

After confirming this was the case, Jana also took to Instagram to blast another account pretending to be her, writing: ‘Apparently some cheeky bugger is trying to pass themselves off as me.

‘Feel free to report it – or give a swipe right. They might have better banter than me.’
