Big Brother EXCLUSIVE: Ironman Max Beattie STILL holds a grudge after he was the first contestant to be evicted
Max Beattie still holds a grudge after becoming the first contestant to be eliminated from Big Brother by just one vote by Daniel Hayes.
Following his eviction on Monday night, the 29-year-old Gold Coast-based Ironman revealed what happened after the cameras stopped rolling.
He explained to Daily Mail Australia he was disappointed to be evicted after a few days, having spent so much time in lockdown preparing to enter the house.

‘It was really frustrating, I had to put a few things on hold this year professionally to do Big Brother,’ he said.
‘I had to hold off the Ironman series and things that I was passionate about, and to only get a few days there was definitely tough.
‘Even getting back into racing this season, I was two months behind everyone else.’

Max said he immediately knew Daniel would vote him out at the first opportunity.
‘The moment I walked in there to be honest, I could just feel that he had that energy, where it’s not good stuff,’ he said.
‘As soon I was near him, I just knew he wasn’t a guy I would get along with.’

Since leaving the show he has been in contact with several of the housemates, who have briefed him on what he missed.
‘I got out so quickly and I wanted to hear from everybody. A few weeks later I got a call from one of the housemates and then I got a bit of a debrief, which was cool,’ he said.
Max was shown the door during Monday night’s premiere after just one vote.
The New Zealand Ironman pleaded with Nick Benton and Daniel – the only two housemates who held the power of one vote each – to keep him in the game.

The result was then announced: Max had been voted out by one vote – cast secretly by Daniel.
Max was given one minute to say his goodbyes, sharing an icy handshake with Daniel, whom he no doubt suspected of casting the vote.
Earlier in the episode, Nick had tried to convince Daniel not to vote to evict Max, but Daniel disagreed.
He insisted it was the right move to vote out Max, who is an an alpha male, as he might only get one shot at it.
