Rochelle Humes got so drunk during one of Marvin’s online parties he ‘had to take her off Instagram’

Rochelle Humes looked sheepish on Lorraine on Friday after her husband Marvin revealed she got so drunk during his online DJ set last month, he had to end the video stream early.

The couple were talking about their Instagram Live parties, when Rochelle, 32, explained she was unable to drink during the first lockdown because she was pregnant with their son Blake, six months.

And Marvin, 36, revealed Rochelle ‘made up for all the times she couldn’t drink’ when he went hosted his Stay Home With The Humes live-stream last month, so much so he ‘had to take us off of Instagram’.

Recalling the moment, Rochelle said: ‘Marvin was DJ’ing and I went in to tell him, as I normally do: “turn it down, the kids are asleep”.

‘Then I end up staying in there and actually enjoying it, but of course I was pregnant in that lockdown so I was just having a lovely time.

‘Fast-forward to this March just gone and it marked a year and it was our birthday, we just thought “let’s just do it again, we’ll bring it back.”

‘The first time we raised so much money for NSPCC so we were like let’s bring it back for our birthday and I can have a drink this time and get stuck in.’

Marvin then interrupted: ‘She really did get stuck in and have a drink Lorraine. She made up for all the times that she couldn’t drink to the point where I had to take us off of Instagram Live.

To which, Rochelle quipped: ‘If it was real life, it would be time that he called the taxi!’

The former Saturdays star also revealed that Stay At Home With The Humes started ‘by coincidence’.

She told host Lorraine Kelly: ‘It started last year during the first lockdown, really by coincidence.’

The dad-of-three – who welcomed son Blake in October – also told Lorraine, 61, that his eldest two children, daughters Alaia-Mai, seven, and Valentina, four, have no idea he is a famous singer.

Remembering one of the first times he performed with his newly reformed boyband JLS, the doting father sweetly revealed that his young daughters were oblivious to the fact he was a musician, and were confused as to why he was singing on stage with their ‘uncles’.

Marvin said: ‘Last February, when we performed again on TV, my middle child Vally… she’d come down to see and she was like, “Mummy, there’s Uncle Aston, Uncle JB and Uncle Oritse and they’re singing together!”‘

The happy couple – who married in 2012 – also touched upon their new TV show The Hit List, which is billed by the BBC as being: ‘An exciting music quiz for the whole family that will have you all shouting the answers at the TV.

‘All you have to do to win a potential £10,000 prize is name the artist and title of hit songs.’

Hailing the presenting gig as ‘the perfect show for us’, Rochelle explained: ‘We’re both from musical backgrounds.’

She added: ‘It’s the perfect fit. We’ve waited such a long time to do something together and we just couldn’t agree on one thing that we actually both liked.

‘So this was just a no-brainer for us.’
