Megan Thee Stallion announces she is going on a HIATUS to ‘recharge’ but tells worried fans: ‘I’ll be back when it’s time’

Megan Thee Stallion has announced that she is going on a hiatus to ‘recharge’ telling her fans on Thursday: ‘I’ll be back when it’s time.’

The news left her 6.2million followers on Twitter shocked as they immediately began flooding her page to check if the 26-year-old rapper – real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete – was OK.

Meanwhile, in a video posted to her Instagram, a message read: ‘Megan Thee Stallion is recharging! Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next.’

The post added that all social media in the meantime will be handled by her management team.

Despite enjoying huge success in her career having just won three Grammy Awards, Stallion has also had a tumultuous time in her private life, particularly with her ex Tory Lanez, who she claimed shot her in both feet following an argument at a party last July.

Lanez, 28, was subsequently arrested and later charged with two felony gun offenses by Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, but pleaded not guilty during a November court date.

It is not clear what has prompted Stallion’s hiatus – or whether it is restricted to just a break from her social media accounts – but the star does have some commitments she is expected to fulfill.

This month the Savage hitmaker signed up to appear at the three-day hip-hop festival Rolling Loud in July alongside Roddy Ricch and City Girls.
