Downhill dog! Super-fast French bulldog Marlo races her snowboarding owner down a mountain in Japan

  • Marlo the French bulldog is seen racing down a snowy mountain ski slope
  • Her owner Akira, 41, is seen struggling to pace on a snowboard behind her
  • The footage was recorded on Mount Niseko Annupuri in Hokkaido, Japan

A super-fast Frenchie was seen putting her snowboarding owner through his paces down a mountain slope in a stunning display of athleticism.

Six-year-old Marlo was going at full pelt as owner Akira, 41, recorded her sprint from behind while gliding across the snow.

The footage was recorded at a ski resort on Mount Niseko Annupuri in the Hokkaido prefecture of Japan.

The brilliant footage shows the dog off to a flying start as Akira attempts to catch up.

Marlo’s back paws barely make an imprint in the snow as she flies down the slope.

The little dog continues to run flat out for a full minute, with Akira appearing to be more tired out than her.

The pair live nearby and often come to enjoy the ski resort Niseko Annupuri together during the winter season.

Owner Akira said: ‘Took my dog, Marlo, to our usual hiking/walking hill at the local ski resort.

‘I wanted to test out my new GoPro so filmed her running down the hill while I chased her on my snowboard.

‘Marlo regularly comes hiking and snowboarding throughout the winter season.’
