Peter Andre reveals his home was broken into THREE times in ONE night with robbers taking jewellery

‘It was horrifying!’ Peter Andre reveals his home was broken into THREE times in ONE night with robbers taking jewellery… after Dec Donnelly’s home was targeted by burglars last week

Peter Andre’s home was broken into three times in one night, he has revealed.

The singer, 48, was reflecting on the recent burglary at Dec Donnelly’s £5million home while the TV star was asleep upstairs with his wife and young daughter.

Discussing his own experiences, Peter wrote in his New! magazine column: ‘Our home was broken into three times in one night by the same people while we were asleep.

‘They took jewellery and it was horrifying. You want to feel safe in your own home.

‘Knowing someone has been in it, with an intent to take your things, and the fear of them possibly wanting to do worse, is horrible.’

The incident took place while Peter was still living in his native Australia. He moved to the UK when he was a young pop star.

He has since fathered four children – Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Price, and Amelia, seven, and Theo, four, whom he shares with current wife Emily MacDonagh.

Last week police rushed to presenter Dec’s West London home shortly after 1am following a 999 call.

Mr Donnelly, 45 – one half of presenting duo Ant and Dec – his wife Ali, 43, and their two-year-old daughter Isla were all asleep upstairs in the seven-bedroom home.

The suspects had botched an attempt to rip open the iron gates at the front of the property – which was purchased by Mr Donnelly for £1.9million in 2006.

They fled in a car shortly before officers arrived.

The Donnellys were only aware that the burglars – understood to have been a ‘professional’ gang – targeted their home when the police told them.

A source told The Sun: ‘Dec and Ali weren’t disturbed. The first they realised anything was amiss was in the morning.’

‘The robbers couldn’t force the gates open and that’s what made them give up, and flee.’

Met Police officers conducted inquiries along the street today and forensic checks were carried out.

The force confirmed that the suspects left the scene prior to police arriving and there was no evidence to suggest they gained access to the house.

No arrests have been made.
