When you’re an A-list actor on the stage and in film — body language is an essential form of emotional release and communication.

And on Saturday, Hugh Jackman put some of those skills on display when he headed out for a walk with his two beloved dogs in New York City.

The X-Men star got animated during a phone conversation as he strolled along the streets, all while his pooches Allegra and Dali kept calm at his side.

Body language: Hugh Jackman, 52, got very animated during a phone conversation while walking his two dogs — Allegra (a poodle and terrier mix) and Dali (French bulldog) — in New York City on Saturday

Jackman, 52, could be seen moving his arms and hands in different directions during his talk on the phone.

With the temperatures hovering in the mid-60s Fahrenheit, the Australian native wore black trousers with a blue micro puffer vest over a black t-shirt and black sneakers.

Two days after receiving his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Jackson made sure to wear a black protective mask over his mouth and nose during his time in public.

There was a moment when The Greatest Showman stopped to focus his entire attention to the call, which garnered a couple impatient looks from Allegra and Dali.

After the walk, the Tony Award-winning actor shared several images of Dali lounging in a black carry bag, which could mean he may be headed out of town.

‘What Dali does when he feels like I’m leaving…’ Jackman wrote across a video clip.

The previous day Jackman took to Instagram and shared a series of snaps of him and Dali out on a walk.

‘I really think my selfie skills have improved. Kinda?????’ the Les Misérables star proudly boasted in the caption of his selfies.

Allegra was an early Christmas present to Jackman back in 2014, though it remains a mystery who gifted the pup, according to Page A Day.

And Dali was bought from a pet store by Jackman, his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, and their son Oscar during a trip to New York.

‘My son, [Oscar], is an artist, and his favorite artist is Salvador Dali,’ Jackman’s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness revealed about the origin of Dali’s name in 2018.

‘Because of the way [the dog’s] mouth curls, he looks like [surrealist artist] Salvador Dali with a mustache.’

The Oscar-nominated actor has made a habit of sharing images of his two dogs on social media on a regular basis.
