Skye Wheatley goes on massive Instagram rant against her followers over renovation ‘design flaw’

Former Big Brother star and influencer Skye Wheatley has been renovating a sprawling $975,000 Gold Coast mansion with partner Lachlan Waugh since 2019.

A small detail in a recent before-and-after post sparked fierce debate among her followers, and the 27-year-old was incensed by the ‘nasty, judgmental’ comments.

Skye Wheatley goes on massive Instagram rant against her followers – after a small detail in a renovation post sparks fierce debate of a ‘design flaw’

The lengthy tirade all began after Skye shared a picture of her renovated bathroom, where a towel rack was seen in close proximity to a toilet.

Many comments under the post debated whether the towel rack was too close to where people would be relieving themselves, and wondered whether ‘poo particles’ would contaminate the clean towels used after showering.

‘The towels are in the toilet, because there was nowhere else to put it… I don’t know why people need to be rude and nasty. It’s not your toilet or bathroom, so take deep breath and move on,’ Skye shared on her renovation page’s Instagram Story.

‘I get that not everyone has the same taste, but when you’re doing it in a nasty way, it’s like “am I coming on to your page, and judging your home?”‘ Skye said.

‘If my poo particles are travelling THAT far, then my lord they need t be in the Guinness World Records. The only way poo is going to get on my towels is if I stood on the toilet to do a s**t!’ she raged.

Raising her voice while filming in the echoing bathroom, she said:’ Thanks for your concerns, but I will be the only one pi**ing and s***ting on my toilet. So, thank you for the concerns, but we’re good here!’

‘There are going to be some things that are impractical and not perfect [with their renovations], but we’ve done the best that we can. Considering what this bathroom looked like before, this is the most beautiful, luxurious, comfortable bathroom for me,’ Skye explained.

Skye, who is heavily pregnant, added: ‘I’m sorry, I don’t want to be a b**ch… I’m just really hormonal at the moment, that’s my excuse.’

‘The owner was a Chinese man, and him and his wife wanted to send their children to a nearby school, and they were going to live there but… it never ended up happening.’

Skye said the pair ‘fell in love’ with the home when they bought it, even though it was so run down it looked ‘haunted.’
