Imogen Anthony reflects on her eight-year relationship with Kyle Sandilands in a lengthy video

Imogen Anthony has shared a string of videos reflecting on her former romance with Kyle Sandilands, just hours after he revealed the real reason behind their break-up. 

On Wednesday, the 30-year-old – who split from the radio shock jock in 2019 – was ranting about the latest Married At First Sight drama on Instagram, before name-dropping her ex and appearing to hint they’re still on friendly terms.

‘After being with old mate for almost ten years, you kind of learn things – and no one knew more about behind-the-scenes than Kyle did,’ she said of the reality show.

‘He told me everything. Still does.’

She went on to say that Kyle used to mock her for watching the Channel Nine series, but says he ‘now watches it more than me’.

‘He’s like, “I get it. I get what it does to people”. It just makes people drama enthusiasts,’ she added.

Imogen went on to claim that she’s ‘never been the greatest judge when it comes to the quality of a man’, before adding: ‘…and I would say that straight to my ex’s face. And he’d probably laugh, as he’d agree. That’s how unorthodox it is.’ 

A representative for Kyle declined to comment on Imogen’s comments when approached by Daily Mail Australia.

Her comments come just hours after Kyle discussed the pair’s break-up on a no-holds-barred podcast interview.

The KIIS FM radio presenter, 49, revealed the 19-year age gap between the two played a significant role in their break-up.

In an interview with the No Filter podcast, Kyle said Imogen ‘went from a young girl into a woman’ during the course of their relationship, which began when she was barely out of her teens.

Host Mia Freedman interjected: ‘They’re very formative years, [from] 20 to 25.’

‘You’re right,’ Kyle replied. ‘She went on a similar path, it’s not as if we couldn’t get on. It’s just I was going into my twilight years and she was just becoming a woman.’

‘It was just one of those things that it was fun while it lasted and it was great, we enjoyed a lot of things about each other, but some of these things they come to an end sometimes,’ he added.

Kyle also revealed that he feels it’s important for him to make sure his former partners are taken care of financially.

‘I want to make sure they’re okay mentally, physically, financially, and they deserve it, too,’ he explained.

‘Ex-wives, my other ex-partners, they’re able to be, and they should be, looked after and treated with respect.’

Kyle is now dating Tegan Kynaston, 34, the communications director of his company King Kyle Pty Ltd and his former personal assistant.
