This comes after earlier this year, Yebin had to miss the first few weeks of the ITV skating show after a ‘freak accident’ with skating partner Graham Bell in training in January.

She was set to perform with the former Olympic skier, 55, but was hospitalised after he accidentally fell over with his skate ripping into her leg and exposed her tendons.

Yebin said she was ‘absolutely gutted’ to have to bow out of the competition but said she said she would be cheering for her partner ‘like a nervous mom at the side of the rink’ as he competed with her replacement Karina Mantra.

Yebin penned: ‘Absolutely gutted I won’t be able to skate on @dancingonice with Graham these couple of weeks.

‘Graham and I had a freak accident during our practice on Monday where his blade went into my shin.

‘Such unlucky timing but also counting my lucky stars as I cut through the muscles, and not nerves, bone, vessels or tendons! How I didn’t cut any of that they say is a miracle.’

Speaking after the injury, Graham told MailOnline: ‘I fell when we were training on Monday and Yebin my pro-dance partner fell onto the back of my skate.

‘She was cut quite badly on the shin and needed an operation to clean and stitch up the wound. She spent Monday night in Watford hospital and was released yesterday, luckily there was no nerve or tendon damage.

‘She has been told two to four weeks before she can skate again, so Dancing on Ice have organised for a replacement, Karina Mantra, to come in for the first few performances.

‘It’s going to be really tough learning our routines again with someone new, but Yebin will be on hand to coach us both. It is now a massive incentive for me to stay in the show so that I can get Yebin back on the ice!’
