All Creatures Great and Small’s Nicholas Ralph gets to work on set of season two

Nicholas Ralph was seen getting to work on set of All Creatures Great and Small alongside his co-stars Samuel West and Callum Woodhouse on Wedesnday.

The actor, 31, was seen getting into character as James Herriot for scenes filmed in the village of Grassington, North Yorkshire, the same county where the original 1978 show was previously shot.

Filming scenes outside a makeshift pub named The Drover Arms, the trio were seen chatting together over a pint during the shoot before walking through the village whilst laughing.

Nicholas looked sharp as he paired a grey suit jacket with a cornflower blue shirt and a dark blue tie that he had tucked into a grey v-neck jumper.

He completed his character’s look by wearing a pair of corduroy trousers and stepping out in a pair of brown brogue shoes.

Samuel, who portrays veterinary surgeon Siegfried Farnon, put on a dapper display in a brown, tweed three-piece suit, while Callum, who plays Siegfried’s younger brother Tristan, teamed a grey jacket with slate grey trousers.

The original 1978 series was filmed in a number of locations in and around the county of North Yorkshire, including towns like Hawes, Leyburn and Whitby.
