Fans praised Brett Helling and Booka Nile after they bowed out gracefully on Monday’s episode of Married At First Sight.

The former couple, both 31, agreed their relationship had come to a natural end during the show’s final commitment ceremony, but appeared to still be friends.

After a drama-filled season, viewers applauded their ability to walk away from the relationship respectfully.

‘I am truly happy how Brett & Booka ended. That’s a healthy, amicable breakup if I’ve ever seen one,’ tweeted one viewer.

‘I so wanted Booka & Brett to make it. But how civilised they were at leaving is beautiful,’ added another.

One person compared their split to the amicable 2016 break up of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin: ‘Booka and Brett are consciously uncoupling’.

‘Booka and Brett doing the adult thing and leaving a dead relationship,’ tweeted one viewer, while another wrote, ‘Booka & Brett were such a beautiful couple’.  

Added another fan of the favourites: ‘Mad respect for Booka and Brett for mutually deciding to leave the experiment’.  

Sitting in front of the show’s love experts, Booka revealed that she had voted to ‘leave’ the experiment, but had nothing but respect for Brett.

‘I’ve written “leave”. But it’s a smiley face and a love heart, because Brett’s a legend. But I don’t know. I feel like that romantic side of things had kind of gone,’ she said.

Brett agreed with Booka’s decision to leave the show, and said he was also opting out of the experiment.

‘We put a lot of effort into this, and we learnt things about ourselves and… I’ve chosen to leave,’ he added.

‘I did come here to find love, and even though it was really hard at times and I felt sad, I do want you to be in my life,’ Booka told an agreeable Brett.

She added: ‘We have this awesome bond because of this experiment. And no one could ever take that away from us.’
