Malin wore her blonde locks in loose waves and appeared to forgo any make-up while out walking in the sunshine.

The Chick Fight star accessorised her look with a simple gold chain necklace and a selection of beaded bracelets.

Meanwhile, husband Jack Donnelly was sporting a black T-shirt and a pair of jeans and shoes, while shielding his eyes with a pair of reflective sunglasses.

Fiercely independent and driven when it comes to her career, she made the jump from acting to producing after finding herself desiring more control when it came to projects.

Raised in Canada as a competitive figure skater, Akerman found herself a bit disheartened at not getting a call to audition for I, Tonya only to find that Margot Robbie snagged the role because the film came from her producing entity.

This realization shifted gears in Malin’s mind. ‘That’s when it really hit. I realized that was what I needed to be doing. I needed to find great material and work it from the ground up,’ she told Observer

The list of films she has both starred in and produced this year include Chick Fight with Bella Thorne and Alec Baldwin, and Friendsgiving (her first producing project) with a stacked cast of ladies including Chelsea Peretti, Kat Dennings, and Aisha Tyler.

Akerman said that the pandemic had given her a lot of time for productivity which allowed her to adequately research stories she felt deserved to be told on screen, and find writers who could bring them to life.

Uncertain about making a jump to directing or writing in the future, she cited wanting to be hands on with raising her son Sebastian, six, as a deterrent from doing too much.

She shares her son with first husband Roberto Zincone (2007 – 2014) and has since married Atlantis star Jack Donnelly, 35.
