Lil Nas X is wowed as he watches video of Survivor alum making mosaic of him out of RUBIK’S CUBES… amid the hitmaker’s ‘Satan Shoes’ controversy

Lil Nas X posted a TikTok this week of himself marveling at a video of a woman who made a mosaic of him out of 441 Rubik’s cubes.

‘Wow!’ exclaimed the hitmaker, which was done by Survivor alumna Wendy Diaz who holds the Guinness World Record for solving the most Rubik’s cubes while hula hooping.

Lil Nas X’s  latest post came amid a massive controversy over him selling Satan-themed shoes with human blood in them, while also making a music video set in Hell.

Impressed: Lil Nas X posted a Tik Tok this week marveling: ‘Wow!’ while watching a video of a woman who made a mosaic of him out of 441 Rubik’s cubes

The video was for his song MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) which happened to also be playing during his TikTok about Wendy’s artwork.

Wendy, who was the first Survivor contestant with Tourette’s, had posted sped-up footage showing the three-hour process of making the mosaic.

After he uploaded his Tik Tok plugging her work Wendy – a Rubik’s brand ambassador – reposted his praise and gushed that it was ‘so f***in’ cool.’

Lil Nas X’ controversy began last week when he announced that he was selling 666 pairs of Nike Air Max 97 sneakers that had been customized with a Satan theme.

He partnered with the Brooklyn-based collective MSCHF to alter the shoes – which also contain human blood from MSCHF employees.

The shoes have also been emblazoned with: ‘Luke 10:18’ referring to the Gospel verse: ‘And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.’

All 666 pairs of the ‘Satan Shoes,’ which still had the Nike logo on them, were priced at $1018 and sold out in less than a minute when they hit the market Monday.

Last week – just days before Palm Sunday – the singing star also released the MONTERO video which showed him giving the Devil a lap dance.

The uproar prompted some conservative Christians to begin boycotting Nike even though the brand did not approve the shoes.

In fact the day the shoes were released Nike filed federal suit against MSCHF claiming the Brooklyn company had engaged in trademark infringement.

On Holy Wednesday a judge banned the continued sale or shipment of the shoes – even though they had all been sold and most had been shipped.

The music video also got backlash from viewers who noted its visual similarity to the video for the FKA Twigs song Cellophane from 2019.

Lil Nas X responded by writing on Instagram: ‘I want to say thank u to twigs for calling me and informing me about the similarities between the two videos, as i was not aware they were so close,’ explaining that ‘i was not aware that the visual would serve as a major inspiration for those who worked on the effects of my video.’

FKA Twigs praised him in return on her Instagram page ‘for our gentle honest conversations and for acknowledging the inspiration cellophane gave you and your creative team in creating your iconic video!’
