The actress has had an impressive career, appearing on the likes of sitcom Bread and Playing The Field.

Melanie also admitted that she has become ‘terrified of everything’ as she has got older in life.

The actress, who is set to turn 60 next year, said: ‘I’m terrified of everything and I hate it. I do meditation and I walk; I’m continually trying to calm myself down. I don’t know what it is. It’s only happened as I’ve got older.’
