Hugh Sheridan has opened up about his struggles with confidence and childhood bullying.

In a lengthy post, the 35-year-old actor revealed that he was picked on as a child.

‘I remembered when I was a young boy of 12 with zero self confidence and already a face full of acne, I kept going to school to face bullies,’ he wrote.

‘When I was older and lost out in many auditions and could’ve given up I kept going knowing the only way forward was by putting on foot in front of the other.

‘I wanted to share this in case you too are feeling the same and needed a reminder to count your blessings, start with running water or the phone your holding if you need to, start small and know that there’s always someone worse off,’ he finished.

The Packed To The Rafters actor accompanied the post with a flattering photo of himself flaunting his ripped physique at the beach.

Hugh recently proposed to his 29-year-old boyfriend, banker Kurt Roberts.

Wasting little time in getting hitched, the couple have confirmed that they’ll officially tie the knot in Sydney on New Year’s Eve.

In a recent interview with the Daily Telegraph, Hugh recently confirmed he and Kurt, 29, star have shacked up together.

The star said the attraction was ‘immediate’ between the two when they locked eyes at a party at a Darlinghurst mansion previously owned by Baz Luhrmann in November.

The actor revealed that he was a little forward with his approach to dating Kurt, so he took a step back and enjoyed courting him in an ‘old school’ romantic way.

‘But I was pretty persistent. I messaged him and he didn’t respond. And then we caught up again with some mutual friends around Christmas and that’s when I realised I just needed to slow down and give him some space.

‘So then I started to get very old-school about the whole thing.

‘There was no rushing. We just went out for dinners and took things very slowly and I did everything by the book because I knew, deep down, that this guy was a keeper,’ he added.
