Courteney Cox dons FALSE FANGS to prank Johnny McDaid and Coco, 16, for April Fool’s Day

She rose to fame as a sitcom star on Friends.

And Courteney Cox could be seen going for the laugh once again when she fired up her Insta Stories this April Fool’s Day.

The 56-year-old screen queen put on a set of false fangs to prank her boyfriend Johnny McDaid, 44, and her daughter Coco Arquette, 16.

Apparently the idea behind the prank was to pretend she had gotten two of her teeth sharpened into fangs during a cleaning.

Courteney filmed Johnny in the car reacting with a faintly bemused smile and saying: ‘Oh, Jesus, f***ing hell,’ as she asked: ‘What do you think?’

Then she FaceTimed Coco who saw the fangs and hesitated before saying: ‘What the f*** is going on? I don’t know, like I don’t like this.’

Courteney is of course no stranger to camp horror as she met Coco’s heartthrob father David Arquette while they were making the 1996 movie Scream.

David and Courteney co-starred in all four Scream movies, the first of which bowed in 1996 and the most recent of which was released in 2011.

They married in 1999 in San Francisco and in 2004 they welcomed Coco whose godmother is Courteney’s Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston.

The couple went public with their separation in October 2010, a month after Scream 4 wrapped filming and half a year before it bowed in theaters.

Within the next two years, the divorce was finalized, and Courteney has spent roughly the past half-decade engaged to Johnny who is in the band Snow Patrol. 

Courteney and Johnny were kept apart for nine months by the COVID-19 lockdowns as he was in the UK and she in the US but they reunited in December.

Meanwhile she is still a friendly co-parent with David and last year they even shot another Scream sequel that is due out next January.
