Sarah Michelle Gellar set to headline the upcoming young adult pilot Hot Pink for Amazon Studios

She is already in the midst of preparing three new television projects, and now has yet another title currently in development to add to her resume.

Sarah Michelle Gellar will headline the new young adult pilot Hot Pink for Amazon Studios, Deadline reports.

The actress, 43, will star in the project from creator Elisabeth Holm, famous for the dramedy Obvious Child from 2014 starring Jenny Slate.

According to the outlet, Hot Pink was ‘loosely inspired’ by Elana K. Arnold’s YA novel What Girls Are Made Of. 

The story takes on ‘the real, knotted, messy, thriving heartbeat of young womanhood’ from the perspective of a 16-year-old girl.  

What Girls Are Made Of, published in April 2017, was a National Book Award finalist.

In addition to this new project, Gellar is attached to voice the role of Teela in the new Netflix-Mattel animated He-Man series Masters of the Universe: Revelation.

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer star is also set to star in the disturbing upcoming TV miniseries Sometimes I Lie.

According to its IMDb page, the story of the miniseries revolves around a woman who ‘wakes up in a hospital, unable to move, speak or open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they don’t know she can.’

Finally, Sarah Michelle will also be starring in the new series Other People’s Houses, which takes on social media and various families in an affluent Los Angeles suburbs.

The show is based on a book by Abbi Waxman.

All three projects are currently listed as being in pre-production.
