Johnathon Schaech reveals he ‘had to explain’ wedding photo from his 12-day marriage to Jana Kramer to his 7-year-old son Camden

Johnathon Schaech has revealed that he recently had to explain his second marriage to country singer Jana Kramer – that reportedly lasted only 12 days – to his young son Camden.

The 51-year-old actor posted a tweet on Tuesday to let his followers know that his eldest child – who he shares with his wife Julie Solomon – came across an old photo of his father with his former wife Jana, 38, on their wedding day.

The Blue Bloods actor began his message by noting that he had an honest conversation about his former marriage with his son and wrote, ‘I had to explain this photo to my son today. I told him I’ve been married three times.’

Schaech reassured his eldest child that he was perfectly happy with his current wife, Julie, and told him that he ‘got it right when I married his mother.’

He added, ‘@kramergirl and I lasted a week. We weren’t meant but for this photo and friendship.’

When one of the performer’s followers inquired if he had any fond memories from his second wedding day, the Legends Of Tomorrow actor simply replied, ‘nope.’

Schaech was also previously married to Christina Applegate from 2001 until 2007, and the actress eventually tied the knot with Martyn LeNoble in 2013.

In 2016, the That Thing You Do! actor opened up about his former relationships during a Reddit AMA and recalled that his marriage to his 37-year-old former wife fell apart due to her desire to follow her musical ambitions.

‘It simply came down to this. She wasn’t ready to be married. She wanted a singing career and that was what she was focused on,’ he wrote.

The author’s former spouse went on to welcome two children with her third husband, Mike Caussin, whom she married in 2015.

The Prom Night actor then remarked that he still held his former spouses in high regard and that he wished them the best in the future.

Schaech noted, ‘All the Christina Applegate and Jana Kramer fans should know — I’m rooting for them too.’

Later in the AMA, the author spoke about how the dissolution of his first marriage in 2007 was difficult to process for several reasons.

‘The divorce from Christina was hard for me…I felt I failed everyone. I thought God had given up on me,’ he expressed.

The actor added, ‘I knew I needed to find someone who loved me as much as I loved them. I eventually found that in my wife, Julie.’

Schaech and Solomon tied the knot in 2013, went on to welcome their eldest child, Camden, in September of that same year, and the happy couple eventually added a daughter named Lillian Josephine to their family in July of 2020.

In a recent Instagram post, the actor told his followers, ‘I’m grateful to be alive and to be loved.’
