It comes after Gemma looked sensational as she displayed the results of her 3 stone weight loss for a glowing Instagram snap on Wednesday.

The media personality donned a heart-print nightie as she posed up a storm and admitted that her new regime has left her ‘so tired’ she’s in bed by 9pm.

Gemma exuded confidence in her short sleepwear, which boasted short sleeves and a slightly scooped neckline.

She wore her long blonde locks down, letting one half of her curled tresses cascade over a shoulder, and rocked a full face of makeup for the glam shot.

Captioning her image, the reality star penned: ‘Bed at 9pm for me these days! I get so tired after training- bed, rest, SLEEP RECHARGE.’

She told her BBC Sounds podcast listeners: ‘Since turning 40 I have become so much more aware of my health and I’m kind of regretting maybe not taking my health as seriously as I should have done.

‘In our twenties and thirties we don’t think about it, and I am just trying to be so fit and healthy at the minute. I’m on a massive health drive.’

Gemma has been taking to social media daily to share her workouts with her followers and on Thursday, she said her body ‘is literally changing by the day’.

While on Friday, she shared a glimpse of her tiny lunch which consisted of salmon and five slices of cucumber.

Gemma said: ‘So guys this is my lunch today. I can have some Philadelphia with this and spinach which I can’t wait for.’

The reality star then panned the camera across to another salmon fillet and a vine of tomatoes and said: ‘And I’m already prepping my lunch for tomorrow, I get on the scales, I’ve got to weight it all out on the scales and I get it in a container.’

Gemma proceeded to show a mid-morning snack of almonds and a Babybel, leaving some fans concerned she wasn’t eating enough.

Now focusing on exercise and a healthier diet in an attempt to slim down, Gemma has admitted that she regrets promoting controversial weight loss injections while attempting to slim down and believes the word ‘diet’ should be banned.

The TV personality joined media figures including former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona in endorsing the ‘quick fix’ weight loss treatment SkinnyJabs after admitting she was keen to lose six stone by using the £250 injections.

However her paid promotional work has since been dismissed as ‘irresponsible’ amid claims the product itself has potential ‘life-affecting’ side-effects, and Gemma says she now regrets getting involved.

Speaking on her BBC Sounds podcast, she said: ‘I have said that I’m not promoting any diet injections or anything like that.

‘I kind of regret doing it, but I feel like sometimes you’re in such a desperate place and you want to lose weight, but actually I’ve come away from this diet promotion now.’

She added: ‘I wish we could get rid of that word diet, people think, oh my God diet, it’s a bad thing. It’s basically just what works for you.’

The jabs have sparked concern because they contain the drug Liraglutide, with users incurring the risk of developing cancer, low blood pressure, skin rashes and swelling of the lips, face and tongue.

Other negative side-effects include dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, constipation and respiratory problems.

It is commonly approved for two types of patients: people with a BMI above 27 and a weight-related health issue such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure, and obese patients with a BMI above 30 and no underlying conditions.

Liraglutide is not routinely prescribed on the NHS for weight loss. According to trials, users lose roughly eight per cent of their body weight after a year of treatment. But beyond two years, there is a lack of evidence showing patients keep the weight off.

Speaking in 2020, Skinny Jab’s founder Caroline Balazs said: ‘The health and safety of each patient is at the core of our ethos.’

She added that her senior nurses ‘check in’ with customers each week to ensure they are injecting correctly, monitor side effects and assess their need for a higher dose.

‘We invest thousands in a comprehensive aftercare and support service – and provide nutritional and dietary advice every step of the way,’ she said.
